Nadi is the third-largest city in the island kingdom and is, like Suva, placed on the biggest island, Viti Levu. The city was earlier a trade centre for sugar cane from the surrounding fields. Today it is the city with the largest concentration of tourists in all of the country, thanks to the international airport, which is placed a short distance from the city itself.
