Best time to visit

To be honest Castilla-La Mancha is not a very pleasant place to be in July and August. This time of year the areas become intolerable hot and dry with no water nearby to cool off in. Instead spring and fall are the best times to visit the area. In spring and fall the climate is lovely and the landscape at its most beautiful.

In Castilla-La Manchas capital Toledo you will find a fountain of museums, exhibitions and festivals. There are good train connections in the entire region. Many cities have local busses and busses that drive to the rest of Spain. Even in a small town like Atienza you can get a bus to Madrid and Guadalajare.
