We finally got into the center of Vientiene around 7.00pm, after 25h on the bus and then over half an hour on a tuktuk. We managed to get accommodation sorted out quickly with all four of us in a small room with bunk beds. Having not had a proper meal for over a day, we were very keen to eat. We went out for dinner with the two other English guys who were on our bus, Max and Alex, the first place we got was a curry house so we ate there. After dinner we went for a beer and bed was not long after.

Woke up late the next day and wondered around the center of town. It was amazing how quiet and empty it was for the capital city. Watched a spectacular lightening storm while we ate dinner and then went bowling with Max and Alex in the evening.

Got the morning bus to Vang Vieng the following morning.
