Thailand is 7th eleven

I've been in Thailand for quite a while now. Fell in love with the country on the way from Bangkok airport to Khao San Rd (turistplace). The highway was fast, clean, nobody lived there, and nobody begged in the intersections. Have seen a few beggars since, but some days I haven't even seen none. It's wonderful. And Thailand isn't that much more expensive than India, it just seems like wealth is more equally divided.

We started in Bangkok, and we feared it would be like Delhi. It wasn't, so we stayed for 4 nights, relaxing with a thai massage, a man- and pedicure. Good food. Kia got a tattoo on her ancle, I didn't. We partied until 7 in the morning.. Basically had good fun :)

Finally we decided to move on, to Ayuthaya. It was a capital until a Lao army ruined it. We biked around, got lost and had fun being lost (it was on a small Island, so no worries). The guesthouse we stayed at had the coolest owner, she was an elderly lady, she was very drunk, shook her bootie like Shakira and sang: "I love you, you love me. Drink no sleep, sleep no drink. Drink no talk, talk no drink." Denmark number one! - I know! She was sweet. Some Americans who'd settled in Ayuthaya told us to go to Khao Yai Nat. park.

So we did. Only, public transportation would only takes us to Pak Chong. From there we could book a trip with a group. If we had rented scooters we could have seen the park on our own, but we found out too late, and we never drove scooters ourselves before...  The Bat-trip was cool, Kia pushed some boundaries touching a snake and a gecho. And I had a good time. The next day we hiked in the jungle, saw an elephant, a waterfall and some birds.. In the evening we took two buses, and then an overnight train to Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai was good, many temples, we choose a GH with a pool. We went White water rafting, that was great fun. I think I'll do that again, really loved it.

Today we have taken the bus to Chiang Rai and then Chiang Khong. We had dinner at a nice little place, where we could watch any moving be liked from their 300 movie-library. We ended up watching Blades of Glory and Semi-pro. It was great!
