1. I was tired on arrival at hoteln about half past midnight.

Long walk to my room, a notice telling me to use the safe at the reception for valuables, otherwise they are not responsible. so I go back. when i return to the room, I realise I have locked my room key in the safe! back again.

Despite their own notice, every time I go to the reception to use the safe they remind me that there is a safe in the room. 

2. Cairo - my own business at last:  one guy tries to pay me as I rested near a street trader stall (unattended by the owner) I obvoiusly look the part!

3. I was asked for directions twice by locals! the second man I helped.

4. Public loo - worst one so far: hole in the ground, no paper (Costa COffee serviettes came very handy!), No flush, No soap. ONe man is washing his feet in the basin preparing for prayer.
