-A plastic bottle cut in half gives two drinking cups (used it in Luxor where there were none in the hotel room)
-salt from the breakfast table used for gargling and disinfecting sinuses
-carry some toilet paper all the time
-keep as many of the plastic bags you are given in the shops as possible
-always carry some dried food and ideally some mints which are great when you are travelling to freshen your taste buds
-talk to as many travellers as possible, I have lots of ideas now about China, Aus,NZ and countries in between as well as contacts to get more info on the way
-I dont know how but girls appear to manage to look clean and well turned out all the time in the campsite while I walked around like Robinson Crusso! how the hell they manage it, actually I should have asked them myself
-you need more than 3 days in a place to get the most out of it specially if you have been travelling like crazy beforehand
-you meet the nicest and nastiest people when you least expect them, and they most probably feel the same about you!
-it is damn hard to have a exercise routine when you are travelling lots, did manage a session in the pit of the truck though, some press ups etc with the truch throwing you about you have to control your core strength too!
-Never look for a room when
hungry
tired
in pain or distracted in any other way
just before it gets dark because you may feel under pressure to just get anything
