Culture and entertainment

The major events in Florence are the two festivals called Festa del Patrono and Calcio Storico both taking place on the 24th June. The festivals feature football matches where the players are dressed up in 16th century costumes. Furthermore, it is also possible to experience Italy's oldest music festival called Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in June.
