Best time to visit

More moderate temperatures than those of the desert and the Jordan Valley bless Amman. In the summer, the temperature rarely exceeds 32°C, but snow in the winter isn't uncommon. In other words, the summer is bearable, but it would be preferable to go there in the spring or fall.

Culture and entertainment

Amman has both a few cinemas and a modest bar scene to offer its visitors, and a number of foreign cultural centres offer various entertainments in the forms of international newspapers, libraries and a film show now and then.

Accommodation / Hotel

Amman is able to satisfy everybody, when it comes to accommodation, with its varied selection of hotels and more modest hostels. Book your hotel in Rabbah here

Local transport

There are plenty of taxis in Amman, but most sights and hotels are situated within walking distance of each other, and thus most transport can be done on foot. Between the airport/bus station and the hotels it can be necessary to hire a taxi, though, but remember to check the possibilities of going by minibus.
