Best time to visit

Situated by the Mediterranean Marseille has a lovely climate all year round. If you want to enjoy the beaches in the area coming in the summer is off course the best idea, but beware that the city can be crowded in the traditional holiday months July and August.

The second largest city in France has lot of cultural offers. You will find plenty of good restaurants both cheap and expensive. Marseille also has a good nightlife and many music scenes, which regularly have big international names on the programme. The city centre is so concentrated that is most convenient to walk around if you are not going outside the centre. Public transport works really well and covers most areas in the city. You will find bus, streetcar and underground.
